Any musician in Nashville has heard of Charlie McCoy. A mainstay in Music City since the '60s, Charlie has played on dozens of hit records, including work for such legends as Elvis Presley, Simon & Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and many more. But the work that has distinguished this world-class harmonica player and multi-instrumentalist is contained on more than two dozen albums that Charlie has released as an artist over the past three decades. Charlie is known all over the world. He performs every year in Europe and Asia, most frequently France, Japan, and Denmark.
Come hear Charlie McCoy's exciting style of music as he shares stories of his life journey with you! This will be a rare Nashville appearance for the master instrumentalist. Event is potluck style. No admission fee. Donations to GIFT are welcome. More info about Charlie at CharlieMcCoy.com
Charlie will also be signing copies of his book Fifty Cents and a Box Top: The Creative Life of Nashville Session Musician Charlie McCoy. A copy of the book will be free to the first fifty attendees of the picnic!
